Wow! What a beautiful line work. A lot of anatomy is shown by the linework and the very soft shading. The back skin on top of the spine is bursting open and there is some stuff comming out. It could be the same material as the hair because it seems to be light. The hair is drawn with a lot of style. It looks a bit art nouveau. I wonder wat was first: the drawing or the thought "through clever lies reveals a true revelation..." How did you illustrate that thought by this drawing? Actually I don't understand that and it might be interesting so perhaps you could give some hints in your comment.
This truly is a beautiful piece! I like how it depicts a woman's body in a way that is beautiful... yet not automatically sensual as so many artists conform to! The body position is wonderful as is the light, subtle shading. The opening in the back is a very cool aspect. It's quite macabre too! The hair and the horn are also very fantasy like and interesting in an exaggerated way! I believe a way to make a stronger impact is to have more contrast in other parts of the piece. Because the concentration of contrast in the back and hair, my eyes didn't move throughout the piece as I would have liked. The contour of her figure is VERY interesting... and I think giving the contour more contrast would improve the eye movement.
Absolutely wonderful piece! And I love her subtle expression best of all!
